On the international level the Institute maintains
regular contacts with research, business and information
centres in Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Hungary,
Germany, Greece, Spaine, Italy, Latvia, Luxemburg, the
Netherlands, Poland, the USA, Finland, France,
Switzerland, Sweden etc. Relations with research centres
of the CIS states are actively developed recently.
The Institute's international cooperation finds its
practical realization in joint conferences, seminars,
symposia, exchange of students, as well as book exchange
and assistance to foreign visitors in meeting people from
academic, political, state and business circles of Russia.
June 2 2003 on the occasion of Italian National holyday –
Day of the Republic the Institute of Europe, the Council of
Social Studies organized together with the Institute of
Political, Economic and Social Research (EURISPES, Rome) the
presentation of the “Report on Italy in 2003. Analysis of
Italian society”. EURISPES publishes such collective reports
including contributions of economists and sociologists of
lowers and historians since 1989. Abroad the Institute
organized the presentation of this Report in Strasbourg (in
the European Parliament), in New-York and Tokyo.
Opening the meeting with some
research-officers, journalists and representatives of
publics institutions and social organizations the Director
of Institute of Europe Academician Nikolay P. Shmelev
noticed that two Institute’s leaders signed the Agreement on
bilateral cooperation which includes the publication in 2004
of the italo-russian collective research on the modern Italy.
The General Secretary of the EURISPES
prof. Marco Ricceri and the chief of the Economic Department
prof. Guido Corazzari told about methodological approach of
EURISPES and answered some questions of those presents.
The Ambassador of Italian Republic in Russia His
Excellency Facco Bonnety took part in the presentation of
EURISPES’s Report.
