225. Russia – European Union:
towards four common spaces. Part II. Ed. by D.A. Danilov. Reports of
the IE RAS, ¹ 225, Ì., 2008.
Annotation
The work
analyses the development of Russia - EU cooperation in the course of
creation of Four Common Spaces: the Common Economic Space; the
Common Space on Freedom, Security and Justice; the Common Space on
External Security; and the Common Space on Research, Education and
Culture. While the Road Maps on each of them were adopted by the
Russia - EU Summit in May 2005, the examination of concrete
modalities, practice and prospects of partnership within this
framework has become essential. The authors study the Four Road Maps
in the context of general Russia - EU relations as well as of
forthcoming negotiations on a new basic legal agreement to replace
PCA.
The Part II is
devoted to internal and external security. The final chapter
provides the study with the analysis of legal aspects of the Russia
- EU relations in the process of implementation of the Road Maps as
well as in the context of preparation for negotiations on the new
Agreement on Strategic Partnership. |
