Annotation
The present
publication results from the individual research project
«Opportunities of strengthening a positive image of Russian regions
in the frames of the EU-Russia Common economic space», carried out
in 2006-2008 with a support of the Russian humanitarian scientific
fund. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of instruments
and structures promoting the RF-EU interregional connections and the
creation of the space: the Northern dimension, the Black sea
synergy, transborder cooperation, euroregions, subregional
organizations. Besides, the comparative study of the social and
economic situation in different parts of Russia and EU is provided;
the experience of the EU regional policy is analysed; the tasks of
the Russian Federation regional policy at the present stage of the
Common economic space construction are formulated; the problem of
the Russian regions competitiveness, their image is highlighted in
the context of rapprochement with the EU. |
