Annotation

This work is devoted to analyzing evolution of perceptions of Russia's images in five major countries of the European Union -France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Spain. Authors examine historical roots of attitudes toward Russia and its policies as well as the state of these perceptions and changes in them in the end of XX - beginning of XXI century. Particular attention is devoted to studying views on Russia's place and role in Europe, state and prospects of its cooperation with other European states.
