Annotation
The work analyses current
trends and prospects of developments in Russia's cooperation with
key European security institutions in the whole variety of its
aspects. It suggests the criterias of evaluation of a new quality of
the relations between Russia, the EU and NATO in security area. The
authors suggested that practical results of cooperation remain
limited without a definition of clear guidelines and mechanisms of
the relations. The work defines the main motives and conditions of
interaction between Russia, the EU and NATO in security area as well
as constraints of their cooperation. The work also examines Russia's
security interests in the context of evolution of the OSCE and
building and developing security institutions on post-soviet space.
A particular focus is put on development of Russia's foreign policy
European priorities mechanism. The work comprises two part and the
first one examines key institutional elements of the European
security landscape. |
