Annotation

This publication is based upon the proceedings of the round ta­ble discussion «Russian Stock Market», organized by the Center for monetary, credit and foreign currency studies of the Institute of Europe, on March 29, 2006. The discussion was held within the framework of the project «Investment attractiveness of Russia and ways of improving it», sponsored by the Russian Humanitarian Sci­entific Foundation.

The main conclusion of participants of the discussion is that, al­though the Russian stock market develops quite successfully now, full realization of its potential requires concerted efforts of the Rus­sian business and public authorities aimed at broadening the scope of its instruments and preventing any crises in the future.
