CHARACTERISTICS OF THE REPRODUCTION PROCESS (EXPERIENCE OF GERMANY).
Reports of the Institute of Europe ¹ 168. «OGNI TD» Moscow 2005.
Annotation
The work analyses five postwar
economic cycles in Germany and discloses their common
characteristics and peculiarities. The capitalist production,
distribution, turnover and consumption are being determined by the
market forces and assume the shape of periodic cycles. Every cycle
passes through the phases from crisis and depression to recovery and
growth, introducing significant changes and surpassing the peak of
the previous cycle. In other words, the expanded reproduction is
imminent for the capitalist economy. The analysis of the cycles is
closely related to the doctrines and concepts, used by the ruling
parties in their struggle for power and in the process of forming
the government and Bundestag. The work gives due attention to the
personalities who influence the pace of economic development. It
studies the new instruments, which they use for realization of
corresponding doctrines. The author asserts that Germany has not yet
succeeded in avoiding the cyclical type of development, crises and
depressions. In this connection the work outlines certain shortfalls
and mistakes in the economic policy.
